INGREDIENTS
- 2 cans crushed pineapple (20 oz.), undrained
- 1 box yellow cake mix (15.25 oz)
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup unsalted butter melted
INSTRUCTIONS
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Pour the contents of both cans of crushed pineapple (including the juice) into the baking dish.
- Sprinkle the brown sugar evenly over the crushed pineapple layer.
- Sprinkle the dry cake mix powder over the brown sugar layer.
- Slowly pour the melted butter over the cake mix, covering all areas with the butter.
- Place in the oven and bake for 40 – 55 minutes or until the fruit is bubbling and the top and edges are golden.
- Remove the cake from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes to set before serving.
- Serve with vanilla ice cream while it is still warm!
