Pineapple Dump Cake

INGREDIENTS

  1. 2 cans crushed pineapple (20 oz.), undrained
  2. 1 box yellow cake mix (15.25 oz) 
  3. 1/2 cup brown sugar
  4. 1 cup unsalted butter melted

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Pour the contents of both cans of crushed pineapple (including the juice) into the baking dish.
  3. Sprinkle the brown sugar evenly over the crushed pineapple layer.
  4. Sprinkle the dry cake mix powder over the brown sugar layer.
  5. Slowly pour the melted butter over the cake mix, covering all areas with the butter.
  6. Place in the oven and bake for 40 – 55 minutes or until the fruit is bubbling and the top and edges are golden.
  7. Remove the cake from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes to set before serving.
  8. Serve with vanilla ice cream while it is still warm!
